Thompsons Cricket
This is a picture of Jimino Thompsons Cricket. Cricket was a Littermate sister to Cajun Jack whois in most of the Hybreds pedigree. This cross was one of the first made back in 1991 has become one of the most famous not only for natural squirrel finding dogs but reproducing the same.
I just found this 22 yr old picture of Jimino Thompson his grandson Travis and myself with Cricket when she was 16 months old.Cricket had 2 things going for her. She had great breeding of natural tree dogs and a great owner/handler who is the greatest woodsman I have ever been with and has become a great friend.
These pups love kids and as you can see the kids love the pups
Here is one great reason to own these little squirrel odgs. My grandson Addison loves the pups and helps me keep them handled.
Woody's Lil Buddy is a very special stud dog we are using this year thanks to Rick Lefew. Rick sent Buddy down here to Cajun Country to get bred to his daughters and some of my hybrid fmales. We now have a litter of 3/4 Buddy pups and another 3/4 litter on the way. Very important to the Hybrid breeding. Buddy is a son of the great BJ BUCK he is also a natural game crazy tree dog who reproduces the same.
This is Tucker the 4th littermate to the 3 above owned by Mr. Kenneth Randell from Jena La. Mr. Kenneth just started hunting Tucker and is fixing to put it on him since deer season is over. Mr. Kenneth killed one squirrel the day this picture was taken in 17 degree weather Tucker treed his own squirrel. Not bad for pups but I give these fellows a lot of credit for getting these pups at weaning age and bonding with them and becoming a buddy it really makes a better hunting dog. These dogs are bred to be natural game crazy tree/bay dogs but the other 50% of the challenge is the handler being their buddy |
Stevie Graves Rocky treeing a squirrel at 5 months old. Rocky has made a fine young dog and is far ahead of most 2 yr old squirrel dogs at a young age.
